Which accessories to order with a welding table

A 3D welding table on its own is a flat, drilled surface — it cannot hold anything until tooling is added. Start with a kit covering clamping, squaring and connecting in matched sizes, then add single items once you know which operations repeat.

D28 welding table accessories for heavy frames

Start a D28 station with four groups: clamps to hold the largest frame at four to six points, angle squares and stops to set the datums square, pins and bolts that fit the 28 mm holes on the 100 mm grid, and support blocks for overhanging members. Around twenty to forty pieces covers most daily structural work. Order them as a kit matched to the hole system, then add single items once the repeating jobs are clear.

Welding table maintenance and spatter control

A welding table stays accurate through three habits: keep spatter off the surface and out of the holes, clean the grid so pins and clamps seat fully, and protect the machined faces with oil when the table is idle. Spatter control starts before the arc, with anti-spatter applied to the surface and tooling around the joint. A nitrided surface resists wear and rust but does not remove the need for any of this — it stretches how long the grid stays accurate, it does not make it maintenance-free.

Do I need accessories, or is the table enough?
A 3D welding table on its own only gives you a flat, drilled surface. Holding a part needs clamps, stops, angle squares and connecting elements, so most orders include at least a basic kit alongside the platform. Tell us what you build and we will suggest a starting set.
Are accessories sold as kits or individually?
Both. Clamping, locating and connecting families are supplied as complete kits for a new station, and every item can also be ordered individually once you know which operations repeat. Kit contents follow the table hole system, so the fit is correct when it arrives.
Will accessories fit a table I already own?
That depends on the hole system, and there is no single global standard. Measure the hole diameter and spacing on your table, or tell us the make and model, and we will confirm whether our D16, D22 or D28 accessories match before you order.
How many accessories do I actually need?
A practical starting point is enough clamps to hold the part at four to six points, plus squaring and locating elements for the datums you repeat. For a 3D table used daily, most shops settle around 20 to 40 pieces. We will size a kit against your typical workpiece.
